Legendary Football Manager's Unheeded Advice: Jose Mourinho Rejects Key Player Recommendation for Manchester United Due to Training Concerns
Jose Mourinho, who used to be the manager of Manchester United, didn't follow a suggestion from Sir Alex Ferguson about signing Dele Alli. Ferguson thought Alli would be a good addition to the team. However, Mourinho didn't agree at that time but later managed Alli when he was at Tottenham.
In a video from a show about Tottenham, Mourinho was seen talking to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy about Alli. Mourinho said he already told Alli that he doesn't train well and isn't as good a trainer as Harry Kane.
Mourinho mentioned that Sir Alex Ferguson, a respected figure in football, advised him to "Buy Dele Alli" during his time at Manchester United. Ferguson thought Alli's style of play and mentality suited Manchester United. However, Mourinho pointed out that Alli needed more motivation because he wasn't a good trainer.
Since then, Alli has faced challenges, including a tough loan spell with Besiktas. He returned to Everton but hasn't played this season due to a groin issue. Despite returning to training, Alli recently shared on Instagram that he faced another setback.
